Terms of Service
Effective date: October 24, 2026
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and DigitalAI Marketing LLC ("DigitalAI", "we", "us"). They govern your use of SteamBun, including our AI assistant, our app on the Meta Platform, our team chat bots and getsteambun.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business (the "Client").
1. The Service
SteamBun is an AI assistant for restaurants. Depending on the plan and plug-ins a Client chooses, SteamBun can:
- answer the Client's team in its group chat;
- send order and sales summaries and reminders;
- reply to comments and messages on the Client's Facebook Page and Instagram account; and
- create posts, flyers and other content.
Features may change over time.
2. Accounts and connected platforms
- You must give accurate information and keep your account and any connected accounts secure.
- When you connect a Facebook Page, an Instagram account, a team chat or another tool, you authorize SteamBun to access it and act on your behalf within the permissions you grant. You can disconnect at any time.
- Your use of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and other third-party platforms is also governed by their own terms and policies, and you agree to follow them. We are not responsible for changes, outages or decisions made by those platforms.
3. AI output and your responsibility
- SteamBun uses artificial intelligence, and its replies, summaries and content can be incomplete or wrong. Review important information, such as prices, allergens, hours and order details, before you rely on it.
- The Client is responsible for the business information it gives SteamBun, for the content published on its accounts, and for its dealings with its own customers.
- As the law requires, SteamBun identifies itself to customers as an AI bot (see the California BOT Act, California Business and Professions Code sections 17940 to 17943). You agree not to configure or use SteamBun to pretend to be a human.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law, or the terms of any connected platform, including Meta's Platform Terms, Developer Policies, Messenger messaging rules and Community Standards;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or texts without the required consent;
- post content that is false, misleading, infringing, harassing, hateful or unsafe;
- collect or misuse other people's personal information; or
- interfere with, reverse engineer or overload the Service.
We may suspend or limit the Service if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
5. Your content and data
You keep ownership of your content, including your menus, photos, brand assets and business data. You give us a limited license to use that content only to provide the Service to you. Content that SteamBun creates for you is yours to use for your business, subject to the rights of any third-party materials it includes. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Our property
The Service belongs to DigitalAI and its licensors, including the SteamBun name, logo, software and designs. These Terms do not give you any rights to them, except the right to use the Service as allowed here.
7. Fees
Fees, plug-ins and billing terms are set out in the order form or written quote we agree with each Client. Unless that agreement says otherwise, fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, and you may cancel at the end of any billing period.
8. Ending the Service
You may stop using the Service and disconnect SteamBun at any time. We may end or suspend the Service with notice. We may also do so immediately if there is a serious breach of these Terms or a connected platform requires it. When the Service ends, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy and on our Data Deletion page.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular business result.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DigitalAI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify DigitalAI against claims arising from your content, from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or from your violation of the law or of third-party rights.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify Clients before the change takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
